EXODUS GOLF SOCIETY RULES                                        Hit Counter

1. All handicaps are maintained using the Society version of "Handicap Master".  This is a fully licensed handicap management software which manages personal handicaps in accordance with all the rules laid down by the English Golfing Union (EGU).  This version is for use by Golf Societies.  Despite using official software I cannot issue "official" handicaps although the handicap you are issued will be exactly the same as that issued by a golf club.

2. After each event your card will be run through the handicap software and adjusted accordingly.  Your new handicap will be issued to the Handicap List section of this website.

As well as any adjustment made by the handicap software:

·        If you win an event, your handicap will be reduced by 2 further shots (1 shot if your score is 36 or less).

·        If you finish second, your handicap will be reduced by a further 1 shot (0 shots if your score is 36 or less).

·        If you finish third, your handicap will be reduced by a further 0.5 shot (0 shots if your score is 36 or less).

·        For each player scoring less than the "average score" on the day of the event, 0.5 shots will be added to their handicap.

3. New members cannot win a 1st, 2nd or 3rd place prize on their first visit.  They are however eligible for the nearest the pin and longest drive prizes.  A handicap based on a new members first round will be issued after the event and they can then win any prize at subsequent events.

4. If a new player finishes first, second or third on their first game with the society,  the prizes will be issued to the first 3 'full' members.

5.  Most importantly remember to have fun, relax, enjoy the day off work and play your best golf remembering to respect the rules and etiquette of the club we are visiting.
